Tasting Notes

Golden amber color. Intense aromas of apricot, honey, orange marmalade, and saffron. The palate is luscious and concentrated, with perfectly balanced acidity providing lift and longevity. Notes of caramel, ginger, and exotic fruits unfold in layers.

Noble Rot

The exceptional quality of Château d'Yquem comes from Botrytis cinerea (noble rot), which concentrates the sugars and flavors in the grapes. Only the most affected berries are hand-selected in multiple passes through the vineyard.

• Blend: 75% Sémillon, 25% Sauvignon Blanc
• Yields are extremely low: one vine produces just one glass of wine
• Aged 3 years in new French oak barrels
• Residual sugar: 125-150 g/L
